Parking Update: There are multiple events taking place around Canham Natatorium on Saturday, Feb. 14, so spectator parking will be limited. There will be a $20 fee for SC-20, outside of Canham Natatorium, starting at 2 p.m. The lots near Crisler Center will not be available until the conclusion of the men's basketball game at approximately 3 p.m. [ Parking Options on Stephen M. ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 16-ranked University of Michigan water polo team (3-6) will host its first home event of the season, the Midwest Invite, on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 14-15) at Canham Natatorium. The tournament features teams from No. 10 Indiana (8-1), McKendree (3-4), Mercyhurst (0-0), Mount St. Mary's (0-6) and No. 17 UC Davis (5-7).
The Wolverines are scheduled to face two teams on Saturday, including a rematch against UC Davis at 1:15 p.m., and McKendree at 4:15 p.m. On Sunday, U-M will compete in another doubleheader, starting with Mercyhurst at 8 a.m. and Mount St. Mary's at 1:45 p.m.
All of the games will be streamed live on Overnght.com.
Notes
• The Maize and Blue returns to the pool after a two-week break, with their last game being an 11-5 victory over UC Davis to cap a three-game win streak.
• Junior Maddy Scarth set a career high at the Triton Invitational with five goals against Cal State Fullerton. Her performance raised her to third on the team in points (second in goal scoring) with 15 (12 goals, three assists).
• Ari Karampetsou leads Michigan in total points, with 33 after the first three tournaments of the 2026 season. She has recorded 22 goals and 11 assists, in addition to winning five of six of her opening sprints.
• Karampetsou earned CWPA Co-Player of the Week honors on Feb. 2 after her performance at the Triton Invite.
• Ryland Smith made her Wolverines debut at the Triton Invitational, including a hat trick against Cal State Fullerton.
• This weekend will see the return of Emma Gustafsson and Harriet Dickens, who did not travel with the team to Triton Invite. The duo are key contributors to the Wolverine offense, with Gustafsson totaling 14 points (nine goals, five assists) and Dickens totaling eight (four goals, four assists).
• Saturday's matchup with UC Davis will be the Wolverines' second in 15 days. The Wolverines ended play at the Triton Invitational with an 11-5 victory on Feb. 1 and will open the Midwest Invite with the Aggies.
