Notes
• Michigan split the weekend on the road last week, sweeping Northwestern on Thursday (Oct. 22) but falling to No. 6 Wisconsin on Sunday (Oct. 25) after taking the first set 25-20. The Wolverines split the previous weekend, taking down Illinois in five sets but dropping a four-set match at Minnesota. In Michigan's last home weekend, U-M defeated Iowa but lost to ranked Oregon. The Wolverines sit in 12th in the Big Ten with a 4-6 record and are 46th in the RPI.
• The Wolverines continue to produce offensively, sitting in the top 25 nationally in kills and assists per set, ranking 20th in assists per set (12.95), and 23rd in kills per set (13.79). In total, Michigan has recorded 1,062 kills and 997 assists, both top-10 marks in the Big Ten, and ranks sixth in the conference with a .265 hitting percentage, which currently ranks third all-time in program history.
• Ella Demetrician led Michigan in kills in both of last week's contests, including a game-high 20 on Sunday. Continuing her well-rounded campaign, she recorded 17 digs and added three service aces against the Wildcats. Demetrician leads the Big Ten with 319 kills and ranks third in kills per set with 4.14. In conference play, Demetrician has 154, ranking fourth in both kills and kills per set.
• Sydney Schnichels put up a career-best six aces to help lead the Maize and Blue to a win in Thursday's match against Northwestern. On the weekend, Schnichels totaled 23 kills and 13 digs, also adding five blocks against the Badgers. • Morgan Burke guided the attack with 42 assists across the two contests, moving her season total to 500. Burke leads the team in both assists and service aces (29) and is third in digs (146). • Cymarah Gordon recorded a match-high six blocks on Thursday, adding eight kills against the Wildcats. She is tied for sixth in the conference in total kills with 254 while ranking second on the team with a .310 hitting percentage. Defensively, Gordon also places third on the squad in total blocks with 57, including her first solo block of the season in Sunday's contest.
