
Michigan Men to Start New Year with Dual against No. 3 Indiana

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 11-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will return to Ann Arbor to face Big Ten foe No. 3-ranked Indiana (5-0, 0-0 Big Ten) at Canham Natatorium. The meet will take place on Friday (Jan. 9) at noon and will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan returns home after a one-month gap in competition, coming off a third-place finish at the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn.
• Luka Mladenovic has enjoyed an impressive start to his freshman season, setting a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke and earning his third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor. He owns two top-12 national marks in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, ranking sixth and 11th, respectively.
• Tyler Ray holds two top-10 national times, ranking eighth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 44.78 seconds and fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a 1:39.6.
• The Wolverines hold two of the top 10 times in the Big Ten in the 100-yard freestyle, with Antoine Sauve ranking third and Ole Eidam placing seventh.
• Lorne Wigginton owns the fourth-best time in the Big Ten in the 400-yard individual medley, clocking a 3:40.18.
• Eitan Ben-Shitrit posted the 10th-best time in the conference in the 200-yard backstroke at the midseason meet, touching the wall in 1:41.88.
• U-M will face Indiana for the 89th time in program history dating back to 1922, with the Maize and Blue leading the all-time series, 47-38-3.
