
Wolverines to Head to Arkansas for Razorback Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will hit the road for the Razorback Invitational hosted by Arkansas on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 30-31) at the Randal Tyson Track Center. Track events on Friday will begin at 6:10 p.m. CT and field events will begin at 3:45 p.m. CT, while Saturday's track events will begin at 11:25 a.m. CT and field events will begin at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Notes
• This will be the first time this season that the full team has competed on the road, with the distance squad and the sprinters competing at Boston U. and Notre Dame in December.
• Michigan comes in at No. 2 in the Great Lakes Region in the first USTFCCCA rankings of the season.
• The 800-meter run event squad (Emmry Ross, Stephanie Bertram, Coraline Haggarty and Hannah Pricco) is second in the nation with an average time of 2:07.38. The shot put event squad (Elizabeth Tapper, Abigail Russell, Trinity Franklin and Janey Campbell) is also No. 2 with an average mark of 15.63 meters (51 feet, 3.75 inches).
• Ross finished first in 2:04.52 and Bertram finished second in the 800-meter run at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational on Jan. 17, with Ross's time ranking No. 7 on the program performers list and Bertram's ranking No. 10.
• Chyler Turner recorded a personal-best 8.30 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles finals to finish second and tie for seventh on the program performers list, while Keyanna O'Tey captured the 200-meter dash title with a time of 24.24 to come just 0.10 seconds shy of the No. 10 mark on the program performers list.
• Kourtney Rathke cleared a personal-best 4.17m (13-8.25) in the pole vault to place second, marking the second straight week the sophomore has recorded a personal best. Her mark is No. 5 on the program's performers list.
• Russell recorded two top-five finishes, placing third in the shot put with a season-best mark of 15.83m (51-11.25) and finishing second in the weight throw with a personal best of 19.31 meters (63-4.25). Her weight throw mark ranks No. 5 on the program's performers list.
• The Wolverines will return home for the Michigan Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the U-M Indoor Track Building. The program's seniors will be recognized following the conclusion of the meet.
