» After opening with a 284 team total, Michigan rallied in the afternoon with a 272 (-8) to sit second at 556 (-4) following the first day of play at the Jim DeLapa Collegiate at Benton Harbor's Point O'Woods Country Club.
» Dean Muratore followed his opening 66 (-4) with a bogey-free 64 (-6) to set a new career low and take the first-day individual lead at 130 (-10). Across two rounds, he tallied 22 pars, 12 birdies and just two bogeys.
» RJ Arone added back-to-back sub-par rounds of 69 (-1) and 67 (-3), giving him a 136 (-4) total and a tie for eighth after 36 holes.
» Both Muratore and Arone extended their streak of sub-par rounds to eight straight, every round of the fall season.
