
Maize and Blue Set for Trip to Texas for 44 Farms Team Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will head to the Lone Star State for the 44 Farms Team Invitational hosted by Texas A&M on Friday and Saturday (April 11-12) at E.B. Cushing Stadium. Competition will begin Friday (April 11) at 2 p.m. CT with the hammer throw, and Saturday (April 12) will start with the pole vault at 4 p.m. CT.
Notes
• A pair of event groups remain ranked in the top 10 of the latest USTFCCCA Event Squad Rankings (April 8), with the shot put squad ranked No. 2 and the 800-meter run squad coming in at No. 9.
• The Wolverines stayed close to home last Friday (April 4), traveling to Big Ten foe Michigan State for the Spartan Invitational.
• Freshman pole vaulter Kourtney Rathke made her U-M outdoor debut, clearing 3.95 meters (12 feet, 5.5 inches) to finish fifth. The mark is No. 7 on the program performers list.
• In the 800-meter run, Catrin Koselka finished 18th (2:21.81) and Bella Harsanyi finished 23rd (2:24.64).
• CC Jones finished 10th in her outdoor debut in the 1,500-meter run (4:40.75) and Ainsley Workman finished 20th with a personal-best time of 4:49.52.
• Abby Bonnema finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:22.16, while Meredith Soule won the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.64). Both saw personal-best performances.
• Lisa Luecke (1,500-meter run) and Savannah Sutherland (400-meter hurdles) are expected to make their outdoor debuts in College Station.
