
Michigan Caps Indoor Home Schedule With Strong Outing at Silverston Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team closed out its indoor home slate on Friday (Feb. 21) hosting the Silverston Invitational at the U-M Indoor Track Building.
For the second straight meet, Trinity Henderson set a 60-meter dash personal best with a time of 7.67 seconds in the preliminaries. She finished fourth in the finals with a time of 7.72.
Mia Manson was solid in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a personal best time of 8.82 in the preliminary round before besting that in the finals (8.77) to finish second.
In the 400-meter dash, Sidney Green finished first with a season-best time of 54.48 and Meredith Soule finished third with a personal-best time 58.19. Soule also saw a personal best in the 200-meter dash (26.16) to finish 10th.
Lucy Petee posted a season-best time in the 800-meter run (third, 2:11.53), while Emily Tomes (eighth, 2:13.72), Emma Thomas (12th, 2:14.85), and Bella Harsanyi (13th, 2:14.95) all logged personal bests.
Gabriella Newman set a new personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.73 meters (5 feet, 8 inches). Manson finished third with a mark of 1.58m (5-2.25).
In the shot put, Trinity Franklin threw for a season-best 14.98m (49-1.75) for a second-place finish, and Clare McNamara threw for 13.61m (44-8) for a fifth-place finish.
U-M will close out the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 22) at the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The distance medley relay team of Rylee Tolson, Coraline Haggarty, Samantha Hastie, and Alyna Lewis will race at 12:30 p.m.
