U-M swept a pair during the 2023 season, beating OSU to punch its ticket to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship and again one week later at the VTC. Oklahoma State returned the favor last season, winning the season opener in Stillwater and beating U-M in the championship match of the 2024 ITA National Team Indoor Championship.
• Michigan is 2-3 all-time against Oklahoma State after playing the Cowgirls four times over the past two seasons. The other match between the teams came during the 1984 season.
• The Wolverines are 3-0 at the Varsity Tennis Center this season. U-M has outscored its three opponents, 15-0, at the VTC.
• This is Michigan's penultimate non-conference match as U-M will play a home-and-home series with Ohio State. The contest at Ohio State (April 16) will be a non-conference match.
• U-M has five ranked singles players in No. 4 Julia Fliegner, No. 21 Piper Charney, No. 45 Lily Jones, No. 62 Reese Miller and No. 111 Emily Sartz-Lunde. The Wolverines have a pair of ranked doubles teams.Â
• The Wolverines have been solid at the top of the lineup, with Fliegner and Charney combining to go 13-1 at the top two spots. Fliegner is 6-0 at No. 1 and 1-0 at No. 2, with Charney holding a 6-1 mark at No. 2.
• With 103 singles wins, Fliegner is up to ninth all-time at Michigan. She leads the Wolverines in wins this season with 23.
• Michigan has won four weekly honors from the conference this season, with Miller (Jan. 15), Charney (Jan. 29) and Fliegner (Feb. 12) each picking up Player of the Week honors. Sartz-Lunde was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Jan. 15, with Jessica Bernales picking up the honor on Feb. 5.
• Head coach Ronni Bernstein is in her 18th season as the head coach, holding a 529-195 overall coaching record. She is currently eighth nationally among active coaches in wins. Bernstein ranks 18th all-time in victories.
