ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan men's soccer team (11-2-3, 6-2-1 Big Ten) is set to travel to Penn State (5-8-3, 1-6-2 Big Ten) to close out the regular season at 8 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 7). The contest will take place at Jeffery Field in State College, Pa., and will be broadcast live on B1G+.
Notes
• The Wolverines extended their win streak to five games with a 2-1 victory over Wisconsin on Friday (Oct. 31). That matches Michigan's longest win streak since 2018, and a victory against Penn State would mark the program's longest since a nine-game run in 2010.
• With the win over the Badgers, the Maize and Blue clinched a spot in the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan can be seeded no worse than third in the four-team field.
• Mitar Mitrovic scored just one minute and four seconds into Friday's match — his fourth goal of the season and his third consecutive game finding the back of the net.
• Dylan Davis registered the game-winner in the 82nd minute against Wisconsin for his first collegiate goal in his 29th career appearance.
• Isaiah Goldson made four saves while allowing only one goal against the Badgers. His 0.81 goals-against average ranks second in the Big Ten among goalkeepers with at least five starts.
• The Wolverines have displayed balanced scoring all season, with 12 different players combining for the team's 34 goals.
• Michigan outshot Wisconsin 12-5 in Friday's match, marking the 12th time this season that U-M has outshot its opponent.
• Michigan and Penn State will meet for the 33rd time in series history, with the Wolverines trailing 12-16-4 all-time. U-M is seeking its first win at Jeffery Field since 2017.
• The Wolverines will play next in the Big Ten Semifinals on Wednesday (Nov. 12). The location and time of that contest will be determined based on final regular-season seeding, and the match will air live on Big Ten Network.
