
U-M Earns No. 3 Seed, Will Face Washington in Big Ten Tournament

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 16-ranked and third-seeded University of Michigan men's soccer team (11-2-4, 6-2-2 Big Ten) will open the Big Ten Tournament against No. 23-ranked and second seed Washington (10-5-2, 7-3-0 Big Ten) on Wednesday (Nov. 12) at 4 p.m. at Ludwig Field in College Park, Md. The semifinal match will air on Big Ten Network.

• Michigan ended the regular season in third, its highest regular-season finish since the 2020-21 spring season.
• The 2025 Big Ten Tournament is a four-team event that will kick off at the home site of the tournament's No. 1 seed on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a pair of semifinal games. The championship match will be played Sunday, Nov. 16, with the champion earning the Big Ten's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament.
• The Wolverines enter the tournament on a six-match unbeaten streak after drawing with Penn State in the final match of the regular season.
• Behind a stout defense and goalkeeping from Isaiah Goldson, Michigan will head to College Park with the best goals-against average in the conference at 0.76.
• Michael Ramirez leads the team with 15 points on five goals and five assists in 16 appearances. Ramirez is one of four Wolverines with double-digit points in 2025.
• Grayson Elmquist paces the Maize and Blue with six goals -- with four of those tallies coming against Big Ten opponents.
• Michigan boasts a goal difference of 24, scoring 34 goals while allowing 13. 34 goals is the most by the Wolverines since the 2018 season.
• The Maize and Blue has applied constant pressure on the opposing defense, attempting double-digit shots in 15 of 17 matches in 2025.
• Michigan and Washington will face off for the second time this season. U-M took the 1-0 win over the Huskies on Sept. 20 in Seattle.
• With a win, Michigan would advance to the Big Ten Tournament final on Sunday (Nov. 16) and would face the winner of the match between No. 1 seed Maryland and No. 4 seed UCLA.
