Oct. 2 -- Dean Muratore
Big Ten Golfer of the Week
» Dean Muratore was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week after winning the Jim DeLapa Collegiate Invitational on Monday (Sept. 29).
» He became just the second U-M men's golfer to break the 200-stroke mark in a 54-hole event, earning his first career medalist honor with a program-record 196 (-14).
» Muratore's record-setting run featured 34 pars, 17 birdies and only three bogeys. He opened and closed with 66s (-4), surrounding a career-low 64 (-6) in the second round -- a score that tied the second-lowest single round in U-M history.
» His total broke the previous U-M 54-hole record of 198 (69-65-65) set by Kyle Mueller at the 2015 Alister MacKenzie Invitational. Muratore and Mueller are the only Wolverines ever to record sub-200 totals in a 54-hole event.
