
Wolverines to Get Back in Action at Nuttycombe Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's cross country team will travel to Madison, Wis., for the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course on Friday (Oct. 17). The 6K B Race will start at 10:30 a.m. CT, while the championship race will start at 11:50 a.m. CT.
Notes
• Sixteen Wolverines are set to compete in Madison, Wis., with Brooke Johnston expected to make her season debut.
• U-M finished 23rd at the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri on Sept. 26, tallying 533 points.
• In the gold race, Stephanie Bertram led the way with a 61st-place finish (20:26.9) and shaved more than 90 seconds off her personal best.
• Anjali Hocker Singh was the second Wolverine to finish, placing 69th with a personal best time of 20:31.0. Hocker Singh improved on her previous personal best by 20 seconds.
• In the black race, Natalie VanOtteren led for the Wolverines with a 22nd-place finish and a personal-best time of 21:14.1. Freshman Caroline Beiting made her debut for the Maize and Blue, placing 74th (22:03.2).
• After the Nuttycombe Invitational, the Wolverines will head to Dexter, Mich., for the EMU Fall Classic on Oct. 24 to close out the regular season.
