
Michigan to Head to Wisconsin for Nuttycombe Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's cross country team returns to action on Friday (Oct .17) at the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. The 8K B Race will open at 11:10 a.m. CT, while the championship race is set for 12:30 p.m. CT.
Notes
• Michigan remains at No. 5 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings behind Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Butler and Michigan State.
• Sixteen Wolverines are set to compete in Madison, Wis. Luke Alverson is expected to make his Michigan debut, while Will Beardsley will make his season debut.
• The Maize and Blue sent a pair of runners to the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame on Oct. 3, with Marcus Reilly and Jonathan Miles entering the lineup.
• Reilly made his 8K debut for the Wolverines, finishing 99th (24:31.3). Miles did not finish.
• Following the Nuttycombe Invitational, U-M will head to Dexter, Mich., on Oct. 24 to close out the regular season at the EMU Fall Classic.
