
Manson Set for Louisville's PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Mia Manson of the University of Michigan women's track and field team will hit the road for Louisville's PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Friday (Jan. 31) at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.
Notes
• Manson will compete in the pentathlon, with the 60-meter hurdles at 10:50 a.m. to open the day's competition in Louisville, Ky.
• She is looking to build off a strong 2023-24 season that saw her set a career best in the pentathlon (3,700 points) at the Big Ten Championships last February.
• Last weekend at the Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind., Manson finished 12th in the long jump final with a leap of 5.73 meters (18 feet, 9.75 inches) and ran 9.03 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles.
• At the season-opening Wolverine Invitational (Jan. 11), Manson finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 8.85 seconds. She also set a career best with a high jump of 1.63 meters (5 feet, 4.25 inches).
• The following week at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational, Manson finished third in the long jump (5.52m/18-1.5) and was 11th in the shot put after a throw of 9.44m (30-11.75).
• The Wolverines will return to the U-M Indoor Track Building on Saturday, Feb. 8, when they host the Michigan Invitational.
