Notes
• After two road games, Michigan returns home to take on rival Michigan State in a "Maize Out." It marks the Wolverines' third game in seven days.
• This is the second matchup with Michigan State after suffering an 81-62 setback against the Spartans on Jan. 30 at the Breslin Center. U-M holds a 104-89 all-time record in the series with MSU and a 65-31 mark in Ann Arbor, including winning its last four in the series at Crisler.
• Despite shooting 60.9 percent in the first half, Michigan shot just 25 percent in the second and dropped an 81-62 contest at MSU. Jaelin Llewellyn scored a team-best 18 points while Terrance Williams II had 14. U-M held a 38-33 lead before a 16-1 Spartans run gave them a 10-point lead and never trailed again, winning their sixth straight in East Lansing.
• U-M has five-plus blocks in five of the last six games, including a season high-tying seven against Rutgers (Feb. 3).
• Tarris Reed Jr. reached 300 career rebounds after grabbing nine at Nebraska (Feb. 10). He is second on U-M with seven per game. However, over his last seven games, Reed has hauled in 63 boards (9.0 rpg), including a career-best 15 against Rutgers (Feb. 3) -- his fifth 10-plus board game.
• With 32 rebounds over his last four games, Olivier Nkamhoua surpassed 600 in his career (608). Leading U-M with 7.2 per game, during this stretch, he recorded a season-best 12 against Wisconsin (Feb. 7) and followed with 10 at Nebraska (Feb. 10). He leads U-M with six 10-plus rebound games. In addition to his rebounding, Nkamhoua is tied for second with 65 assists (2.6 apg). He has 13 games with three-plus assists this season.
• In his last game, Williams set career bests at the free-throw line, going 7-for-9 at No. 14 Illinois, and tallied his 19th double-figure game with 17 points. Also, he tied a career best with two steals.
• U-M's sixth man Will Tschetter has consistently shot above 50-plus percent from long range all season. He is at 59.5 percent (25-for-42) and has gone 6-for-9 over his last four games. A year ago, he was just 5-for-20 (25 percent).
