
Michigan to Return to Sold-Out Crisler, Take on Purdue Fort Wayne

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The 24th-ranked University of Michigan men's basketball team (8-3; 2-0 B1G) returns to Ann Arbor for just its second home December game, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne (9-4; 2-1 Horizon) on Sunday (Dec. 22) at 1 p.m. inside Crisler Center. The game will streamed live B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan completed a stretch of playing five of its last six games on the road. After winning the first three, the Wolverines have fallen in their last two games by a total of three points.
• U-M fell 89-87 to Arkansas in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. The Wolverines trailed by 18 in the second half before making their run and trailed by one with 1:28 left. After Trevon Brazile converted one free throw, the Razorbacks led by two with 14 seconds left. U-M had two shots at a game-tying basket.
• In a back-and-forth second half with No. 14 Oklahoma, Michigan rallied and held a three-point lead with 1:11 to go. After defensive stands by both squads, Sooners freshman Jeremiah Fears drew a foul with 11 seconds left as his 35-foot three-pointer dropped in. After he tied and gave Oklahoma a one-point lead with his free throw, U-M again had two shots at the win as Tre Donaldson's' three-pointer rattled out and Danny Wolf's rebound and putback did not fall.
• In U-M's last four games, the Wolverines have a 2-2 record with each game decided by no more than a three-point margin - at No. 11 Wisconsin (W, 67-64), Iowa (W, 85-83), vs. Arkansas (L, 89-87) and vs. No. 14 Oklahoma (L, 87-86,).
• Over his last five games, Vladislav Goldin has five straight games of 15-plus points, with three of 20-plus, including a career-best 26 vs. Oklahoma. He has averaged 21 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks. He is shooting 72.2 percent (39-for-54) with 14 dunks.
• Not to be outdone, "Area 50-1" partner Wolf has nearly matched Goldin. In his last five games, Wolf has averaged 16.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals. He is shooting 62.3 percent from the floor, making seven of his nine three-pointers.
• Michigan has four players averaging 12 points per game -- Goldin (151 points; 13.7 ppg), Roddy Gayle Jr. (138 points; 12.5 ppg), Wolf (138 points; 12.5 ppg) and Donaldson (132 points; 12.0 ppg).
• Nimari Burnett leads with 18 long-range baskets and shoots 40 percent. He has six games with two-plus three-pointers and a season-best four versus Miami (Ohio). Donaldson is right behind Burnett with 17 (40.5 percent).
• U-M starts 2025 with a week-long trip in Los Angeles, playing new Big Ten members USC (Jan. 4) and No. 18 UCLA (Jan. 7).
