
Maize & Blue to Close Road Swing against Oklahoma at Jumpman Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 24-ranked University of Michigan men's basketball team (8-2; 2-0 B1G) will close out a road swing, five of the last six games, by heading to Charlotte, N.C., for a matchup with No. 14 Oklahoma (10-0; 0-0 SEC) in the 2024 Jumpman Invitational at the Spectrum Center on Wednesday (Dec. 18). Part of a doubleheader, U-M is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip or 30 minutes following the Florida/North Carolina women's match-up. The game will be on ESPN2 with Dave O'Brien, Debbie Antonelli and Myron Medcalf on the broadcast.

• Michigan is closing the backend of a five-of-six road game stretch with the Jumpman Invitational vs. Oklahoma.
• The U-M women's basketball team is also part of the Jumpman Invitational and will play during a Tuesday (Dec. 17) doubleheader against Oklahoma at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
• What is the Jumpman Invitational? The original four schools who signed partnerships with Jordan Brand in basketball and football: Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma, play a two-day December event in downtown Charlotte. The pre-holiday event features both the men's and women's teams rotating to face each other over a three-year cycle. Records: North Carolina (2-0), Florida (1-1), Oklahoma (1-1) and Michigan (0-2).
• Over its last three games, Michigan has provided thrills, chills, and tournament feel games. The Wolverines won at No. 11 Wisconsin by three (67-64), held off an Iowa rally at Crisler Center to win by two (85-83), and after falling behind by 18 -- the Maize and Blue saw its rally and last-second shot fall short against Arkansas (89-87) in the Jimmy V Classic.
• Over his last four games, Vladislav Goldin has four straight 15-plus games, and back-to-back 20-plus point games, including a career-best 25 at No. 11 Wisconsin. He has averaged 19.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. He is shooting 69.0 percent (29-for-42) with 14 dunks. He added his first three-pointer vs. No. 22 Xavier and his first U-M double-double (20 points, 11 rebounds) against Iowa.
• "Area 50-1" partner Danny Wolf has nearly matched Goldin. In his last four games, Wolf has averaged 16.8 points, 11.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He is shooting 62.8 percent (27-for-43). He tied his season best of 14 rebounds, twice, and had a career-best nine assists vs. Arkansas and a career-best five blocks at No. 11 Wisconsin.
• Wolf surpassed his career best with six assists in the first half vs. Arkansas and finished the game with nine. He nearly posted a triple-double with 14 points, nine rebounds and nine assists against the Razorbacks.
• Sam Walters snapped a 0-for-11 drought from the field and a 0-for-10 streak from long range with a three-pointer with 10 seconds left in the first half vs. Arkansas. He finished 2-for-2 from deep.
• Justin Pippen scored his first career points with a three-pointer in the first half vs. Arkansas. He missed his previous four attempts from long range.
