
Wolverines to Welcome LIU to Crisler Center

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (3-1) will continue its homestand at Crisler Center, hosting LIU (1-4) on Wednesday evening (Nov. 20) at 5:30 p.m.
Notes
• Michigan continues a five-game homestand by hosting LIU at Crisler Center. The teams have one common opponent in Lehigh. U-M knocked off the Mountain Hawks, 86-55, at Crisler Center while the Sharks fell at Lehigh, 83-59. The Wolverines are 3-0 at home this season.
• Michigan has won three straight games after dropping it season-opening contest to No. 1 South Carolina. During this stretch, Olivia Olson and Syla Swords have led the way in scoring at 15.3 points per game. Michigan has averaged 91.0 points per game on 49.3 percent shooting over the last three games while holding its opponents to 53.0 points per game on 36.1 percent shooting.
• Mila Holloway was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after recording a pair of double-figure scoring games while helping Michigan to a 2-0 week. She averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game en route to the honor. Holloway also hit seven three-pointers on 50.0 percent shooting from deep. It is the second straight Freshman of the Week honor for Michigan after Swords earned the nod last week. It is the first time Michigan has had multiple freshmen earn weekly honors in program history.
• Jordan Hobbs has scored in double figures in all four games, ranking second on the team in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.0 rpg).
• Swords has scored in double figures in all four games, averaging 18.3 points per game, good for 8th in the conference and first among freshmen.
• Michigan has recorded double-digit steals in three straight games, going for 14 against Lehigh (Nov. 8), 12 against Central Michigan (Nov. 14) and 10 against Oakland (Nov. 17). It is the first time Michigan has had at least 10 steals in three consecutive games since doing it to open the 2022-23 season.
• U-M has four players scoring in double figures in Swords (18.3 ppg), Hobbs (15.8 ppg), Olson (12.8 ppg) and Holloway (11.3 ppg).
• The Wolverines have continued to utilize a five-guard starting lineup through the first four games. U-M is still getting it done on the glass, grabbing 45.0 rebounds per game while giving up just 32.5 per game.
• Michigan will complete its five-game homestand on Sunday (Nov. 24), hosting Long Beach State at 2 p.m.
