DEXTER, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's cross country team closed out the regular season on Friday (Oct. 25) at the EMU Fall Classic.
The Maize and Blue raced against Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, and Chicago State, and posted three top-five finishes.
Freshman Katelyn Watkins led the Wolverine effort, finishing second with a time of 17:50.7. Gabbie Michael finished next in third place (17:56.0), while Hannah Pricco's fifth-place finish (17:57.6) rounded out the top-five finishers. Michael improved on her 2023 EMU Fall Classic finish by 50 seconds (18:46.1).
Abby Bonnema earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 18:13.3. Sophomore Ainsley Workman finished ninth (18:19.6) and Lucy Petee finished 10th (18:22.6).
Michigan will open postseason competition next Friday (Nov. 1) at the Big Ten Championships hosted by Illinois in Savoy, Ill.
