
Michigan Set to Head to Madison for Wisconsin Pre-Nationals

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- After a two-week break, the University of Michigan women's cross country team will return to action on Saturday (Oct. 19) at 10 a.m. CDT on the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wis.
Notes
• Fifteen Wolverines will run six kilometers, with the "A" race set for 11 a.m. (CT) at the Zimmer Championship Course.
• U-M has moved up to No. 5 in the latest Regional Rankings, with Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Toledo ahead of the Wolverines.
• The Maize and Blue finished 19th at the Nuttycombe Invitational in its last outing, with Mary Caroline Heinen's 55th-place finish (21:02.3) leading the team.
• Penelopea Gordon and Brooke Johnston were next to cross the finish line for U-M, finishing 76th (21:14.7) and 91st (21:22.4), respectively.
• Graduate student Kayla Windemuller is expected to return to the lineup for the first time since the Michigan Open (Aug. 30), while freshmen Anjali Hocker Singh and Natalie VanOtteren will represent Michigan for the third straight race.
• The Wolverines have one more regular-season meet on the schedule, with the EMU Fall Classic on Oct. 25 in Dexter, Mich., before the start of the postseason.
