Big Ten Golfer of the Week (Sept. 6) -- Hunter Thomson earned his third Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor after he helped U-M to a season-opening team win with his runner-up finish at the Island Resort Intercollegiate. Thomson lowered his career-best 54-hole total with a 202 (-14) tally after rounds of 71 (-1), a career-low 65 (-7) and 66 (-6). Thomson helped the Wolverines open with a 284 (-4) team total before using his 65 to help U-M put a 273 (-15) together in the second round -- tied for the fourth lowest team round in program history. With a closing 277 (-11), the Wolverines went on to record an 834 (-30) team total -- the second-lowest 54-hole team total at U-M -- for the 48th team title all-time and third under Zach Barlow.
