Thirteen Wolverines Earn WCGA Scholastic All-America Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced its 2022-23 Academic All-American and team Academic Award winners Tuesday (Aug. 15) with 13 University of Michigan gymnasts earning the honors with a grade-point average of 3.50 or above.
Graduate student Natalie Wojcik earned the honor for the fifth time in her career, while seniors Sierra Brooks, Nicoletta Koulos and Gabby Wilson all garnered the honor for the fourth time.
Junior Naomi Morrison captured the honor for the third time, while Carly Bauman, Ashley Lane, Abigael Vides and Jacey Vore all earned the honor for the second straight year.
Juniors Reyna Guggino and Jenna Mulligan as well as freshmen Lily Clapper, Farah Lipetz and Paige Thaxton earned the honor for the first time.
The Wolverines had a successful 2023 season both in the gym and in the classroom as Brooks was named a CSC Academic All-District honoree, five were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars and 12 earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
