
Brady Earns All-America Honors as Michigan Finishes 19th at NCAA Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Led by a top-40 finish from Tom Brady, the No. 23-ranked University of Michigan men's cross country team wrapped up its season by finishing 19th with 472 points at the NCAA Cross Country Championships at Panorama Farms on Saturday (Nov. 18).
Brady started off cautious, checking in at 73rd through one kilometer. The graduate student picked up the pace, passing 28 runners to sit at 45th through the halfway point and cracking the top 40 at the 6K point and never looked back -- finishing 27th overall with a time of 29:37.1 to earn All-America distinction. Brady's award is the first time a Wolverine has been named an All-American since Devin Meyrer in 2020.
Owen MacKenzie was the next Maize and Blue runner to cross the finish line, closing out his debut season with a time of 30:42.2 Nick Foster logged a time of 30:53.0, and Nathan Lopez followed close behind, posting a time of 30:57.6.
Caleb Jarema rounded out the scoring, clocking a 31:08.5. Luke Venhuizen and Zach Stewart wrapped up the day for Michigan, registering marks of 31:27.3 and 31:41.0, respectively.
Michigan improved its team finish by 10 spots over last year's showing at the national championship meet and finished ahead of regional foe No. 8 Butler.
