Wolverine Bites
• U-M has posted four top-five finishes this season, including a rally to win the Desert Mountain Collegiate (March 5-6) its last time out. The Wolverines opened the season with a third-place showing at the Island Resort Intercollegiate and followed with a runner-up finish at the Macdonald Cup, where Will Anderson earned his first collegiate win. The Maize and Blue added a tie for fifth at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate after tallying a season-best 857 (-7) team total.
• Michigan's win at the Desert Mountain Collegiate gave the Wolverines their first team title in five years and first under head coach Zach Barlow. The last win for the Maize and Blue was at Desert Mountain in 2017 (March 4-5). U-M, which has hosted the Desert Mountain Collegiate seven times, has two team titles (2017, '22) and three runner-up finishes (2015, '16, '18).
• What a successful spring break for Brendan O'Reilly, who led U-M for the first time at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate (tie-21st) and followed with a tie for 11th at the Desert Mountain Collegiate. He opened his trip with a 215 (-1) that included a season-low 70 (-2) in the second round at Reflection Bay. He followed with a 218 tally at the Outlaw Course with a 71 (-1) in the opening round. During the trip he posted two sub-par tallies and two at even par in six rounds. He is now averaging 73.30 per round this season, which is third on the team.

Averaging 73.05 per round -- second on U-M -- he is tied for the team lead with eight sub-par rounds.
