Michigan Swimming and Diving to Host Ian Miskelley Memorial Meet Saturday

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan swimming and diving team has announced the Ian Miskelley Memorial Meet will be held this Saturday (Nov. 6) against Grand Valley State in Canham Natatorium at 10:30 a.m.
In addition to the competition, the dual will also include speakers to raise awareness of the importance of mental wellness.
"In memory of Ian we are committed to furthering our contributions to the advancement of community awareness regarding mental health and wellness within collegiate Athletics and beyond," said head coach Mike Bottom. "We believe and hope that having access to more resources, helping students understand mental health functioning across the well-being continuum and building skills aimed to improve mental health outcomes will help champion change and ultimately save lives."
In May of this year, Miskelley's club, Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics, hosted the Ian Miskelley Memorial Open in Ian's native Holland, Michigan. The event saw 381 swimmers hit the pool, including some of Ian's Michigan teammates.
