
Sherman Promoted to Associate Head Coach

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's gymnastics head coach Bev Plocki announced Tuesday (Sept. 17) that assistant coach Scott Sherman has been promoted to associate head coach.
"In appreciation and recognition of Scott's longevity and loyalty to our program, I am pleased to be able to announce that he has been elevated to associate head coach," said Plocki. "He has been my assistant coach for 23 years and has been integral to our program's success. We look forward to working together for many more years."
Sherman, a six-time WCGA and NACGC/W Regional Coach of the Year, has coached one NCAA Champion, 13 Big Ten Champions and 36 All-Americans on uneven bars, and has contributed to the success of many all-around performers during his tenure.
The Wolverines have won 19 Big Ten Championships, five Big Ten regular-season titles, 11 NCAA Regional crowns and made the NCAA Super Six seven times over the course of Sherman's time in Ann Arbor.
