NEW PROVIDENCE, Bahamas – The University of Michigan men's tennis team had nine members compete at the Albany Invite in New Providence, Bahamas over the weekend. Sunday's (Sept. 23) matches were canceled due to weather. Sophomore Harrison Brown recorded two singles victories and one doubles win to lead the Wolverines.

Making their collegiate debuts were freshmen Steven Forman, Ryan Fu and Patrick Maloney, along with redshirt sophomore Teddy Oosterbaan. Maloney and Fu picked up wins in singles play, while Maloney and Brown were triumphant in doubles, where they defeated Andrew Li and Cole Gromley of Georgia Tech.Â

Also earning wins in singles play were sophomores Nick Beaty and Connor Johnston, along with senior Gabe Tishman. Kristofer Siimar and Tishman also secured a doubles victory against the combination of Alex Rushin and Diego Chavarria of Auburn.

Michigan will send sophomore Mattias Siimar to the ITA All-American, Oct. 1-7, at the University of Tulsa.
