Wolverine Bites
• Nick Carlson is expected to start his 36th career event at the Windon Memorial Classic. In his last Northwestern event in 2016 at North Shore Country Club he tied for 12th (74-74-70/218), and as a freshman he tied for third (71-70-69/210, -3) in the 2015 event played at Lake Shore Country Club.
• Henry Spring began his sophomore season with a career-best third-place individual finish at the Northern Intercollegiate. His 215 (-1) tally was just a shot off his career low of 214 posted in the season-ending Big Ten Championships.
• Charlie Pilon may have opened with an 80 in his first round of the season, but as he said he had to get the "wiggles" out and remember what tournament play was like. He followed with tallies of 71 (-1) and 69 (-3) to post a top-20 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate, tying for 16th at 220.
• Patrick Sullivan made his collegiate debut at the Northern Intercollegiate and tied for 65th with a 232 total. After opening with an 85 at Rich Harvest Farms, he rallied with rounds of 75 and an even-par 72. Fellow freshman Ben Dunne also made his collegiate debut and first career start at the Northern and was 86th.
• Taisei Negishi will make his season debut playing as an individual at this week's Windon Memorial Classic. It will mark the 10th event of his career.
