Alex Knight (May 21)
ITA Midwest Most Improved Senior -- Alex Knight was named the Midwest Region Most Improved Senior by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Knight had a breakout senior season, going 25-7 in singles, in which he primarily played at the one spot and sported a 25-10 record in doubles play. The unanimous All-Big Ten first-team honoree was ranked nationally all season, reaching as high as No. 3 (Feb. 7). He currently sits at No. 17. Knight became the second player in program history to achieve 25 victories in singles and doubles in one season, while being a part of the 20/20 club with at least 20 singles wins and 20 doubles victories for the second consecutive year. Knight will wrap up his collegiate career this week in the NCAA Individual Championships, as he qualified for both singles and doubles.

Big Ten Athlete of the Week
• Led Michigan to a 2-1 week, including a 4-0 victory vs. No. 20 South Carolina.
• Went 2-0 in singles and won his only doubles match vs. the No. 3 duo in the country.
• Notched a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 singles win vs. No. 2-ranked William Blumberg (UNC) at the top lineup position, Michigan's only singles point vs. the third-ranked North Carolina.
• Teamed with Runhao Hua in the No. 1 doubles slot to earn a 7-5 victory vs. the No. 3-ranked duo of William Blumberg and Robert Kelly of North Carolina.
• Currently ranked No. 9 in the ITA national singles rankings and No. 19 with Hua in the ITA national doubles rankings.
• Earns the first Athlete of the Week award of his career.
