Wolverine Bites
• Senior/junior Myles Amine remains unbeaten on the season, improving to 8-0 after capturing the 174-pound title at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Nov. 30-Dec. 1). Amine defeated Missouri's fourth-ranked Daniel Lewis, 10-7, in the championship final after icing the bout with a late reversal in the third period. It was his second win over Lewis; he previously earned an overtime decision in the third-place bout at NCAAs last season. Amine placed third at the CKLV as a freshman and sophomore and boasts an impressive 18-2 record at the annual tournament over the last three seasons.
• Amine has already beaten five ranked wrestlers this season, with at least one ranked opponent over four of his five competitive weekends. Amine, who is ranked third nationally, has beaten four opponents currently ranked top 10 according to FloWrestling -- Missouri's fourth-ranked Daniel Lewis (10-7), Lehigh's sixth-ranked Jordan Kutler (6-4), Oklahoma State's seventh-ranked Jacobe Smith (11-2) and Nebraska's 10th-ranked Mikey Labriola (5-1).
• Junior/sophomore Kanen Storr surged to eighth in the national rankings at 141 pounds after defeating three ranked opponents en route to third place at the CKLV Invitational. Among his wins, Storr defeated Nebraska's 10th-ranked Chad Red, 2-1 TB, and Northern Iowa's 11th-ranked Josh Alber, 6-3. He was also one second shy of upsetting Missouri's third-ranked Jaydin Eierman; he planted Eierman with a single leg just a beat after the final whistle in a 2-1, second-tiebreaker defeat. Storr is an impressive 12-1 on the season.
• Storr is set to face another ranked opponent -- and a familiar face -- in the Wolverines' home dual against Indiana on Sunday. The Hoosiers' Cole Weaver is listed at No. 15 in the InterMat rankings and was a three-time Michigan state champion at Hudson High School, about 50 miles away from Storr's hometown of Leslie, Michigan.
• Sophomore Drew Mattin also jumped to 10th in the national rankings at 125 pounds after taking fifth place at the CKLV Invitational with notable wins against Nebraska's ninth-ranked -- for former NCAA finalist -- Zeke Moisey, 3-1, and Illinois' 10th-ranked Travis Piotrowski, 2-2 in the second tiebreaker. His win against Piotrowski avenged a pair of losses to the Illini wrestler at last season's Big Ten Championships. Mattin went 5-2 at the CKLV tournament; he wrestled five matches against ranked opponents, including four of the top 10.
• Three Wolverines are bearing down at the 100-win milestone this season. With his perfect 6-0 record at the CKLV, Myles Amine improved to 79-16 over his collegiate career. Senior/junior Stevan Micic and fifth-year senior Alec Pantaleo, neither of whom competed at the CKLV due to health reasons, remain at 76-13 and 73-15, respectively, at Michigan. Last season, Adam Coon became the 36th Wolverine wrestler to reach 100 wins, finishing his career with a stellar 116-15 record.

Scouting the Opposition
Indiana: The Hoosiers enter the weekend with a 2-1 dual record and will make their Big Ten dual debut at Michigan State on Friday night (Dec. 7).
