Wolverines and Badgers
This will be the 67th meeting between Michigan and Wisconsin. The Wolverines hold a 50-15-1 lead in the all-time series and have a 23-6 record in games played at Michigan Stadium (28-7 all-time in Ann Arbor). U-M has claimed victories in 18 of the last 25 games played between the two schools and 32 of the last 40. This will be the ninth meeting when both teams are ranked in the ranked in the Associated Press national poll. Michigan has compiled a 6-2 record against Wisconsin in matchup pitting top-25 ranked teams, including a 4-0 mark at Michigan Stadium and a 2-2 record at Camp Randall Stadium. The Wolverines claimed victories in games played during the 1977, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2016 seasons with the Badgers earning the win in 1993 and 2017. Michigan won the 2016 season match-up at Michigan Stadium, a 14-7 win, which was the first top-10 game in series history.

• Michigan has compiled a 15-13 record when ESPN College Football GameDay is on-site.
• This is will be the 13th time ESPN College Football GameDay has been at a home game in Ann Arbor. Michigan is 9-3 in those contests.
• The season opener at Notre Dame was an ESPN College Football GameDay event and Saturday will mark the first time ESPN College Football GameDay has been in Ann Arbor since 2015.

Game Notes Nuggets
• Michigan's roster features just one player from the Badger State: junior offensive lineman and team captain Ben Bredeson attended Arrowhead High School and hails from Hartland, Wisconsin.
• U-M leads the Big Ten in six categories: total defense, scoring defense, pass defense, pass defense efficiency, interceptions and punting. The Wolverines lead the nation in total defense and pass defense.
• Michigan's defense has held five of six opponents to its lowest yardage total of the season and ranks 10th nationally allowing 15.8 points per game. The offense ranks 30th at 38.2 points per contest and has scored in 19 of 24 quarters played this season.
• U-M has been particularly potent early in the game, outscoring the opposition 129 to 52 in the first half including 85-21 in the second quarter.
• Michigan's offense has been an efficient unit through the air, ranking second in the Big Ten with a 159.3 pass efficiency rating (21st in the national rankings). Quarterback Shea Patterson is second in the league with a 160.7 pass efficiency rating.
• Patterson completed 19-of-27 passes with three touchdowns and set a new passing high for his U-M career with 282 yards against Maryland. It was his third game this season completing at least seventy percent of his passes (70.4 percent).

• Patterson has found six different U-M wide receivers on his 10 touchdowns so far this year: Donovan Peoples-Jones (5), Ronnie Bell, Nico Collins, Zach Gentry, Sean McKeon and Jared Wangler (1 each).
• Tight end Zach Gentry continues to prove why he has been one of Patterson's most reliable targets. Gentry has a team-high 20 receptions for a team-high 306 yards on the season and 14 of those catches have moved the chains for U-M.
• Gentry is riding a 10-game reception streak dating back to last season, and his seven receptions and 112 yards last weekend against Maryland set career-highs in both categories.
• Wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones' 18 catches are most among Wolverine wide receivers, while Nico Collins' 265 yards are best among wideouts.
• Running back Karan Higdon carried the ball 25 times for 103 yards against Maryland last weekend for his fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing game. He also passed the mark of 2,000 career rushing yards and now ranks 23rd on the all-time list at U-M.
• Just like the offense and defense, the U-M special teams units rank among the nation's best. The Wolverines are 10th nationally in net punting (42.56 average) while punter Will Hart is averaging 51.7 yards per kick with 13 of his 18 punts going 50 yards or more.
• Kicker Quinn Nordin has converted on seven straight field goal attempts and now ranks ninth all-time at Michigan with 27 made field goals on 33 career attempts (8-of-9 this season).
