Darkness Halts Play on Day One of Royal Oaks Intercollegiate
10/22/2018 8:24:00 PM | Men's Golf
» Opening with a 306 first-round team tally, the University of Michigan men's golf team was 13th at the start of Baylor's Royal Oaks Intercollegiate before the second round was suspended due to darkness.
» With anywhere from 4-5 holes remaining, the 14-team field will conclude the second round early Tuesday morning before heading immediately into the final round.
» The event was originally scheduled for Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, but the course was deemed unplayable following torrential rains, forcing the event to Carrollton and Maridoe Golf Club.
» In a unique event format, all five Wolverine starters are playing the same hole together throughout the two days.
» Junior Brent Ito led the Maize and Blue over the first 18 holes, posting a 74.
