
Four Sign NLIs to Join Michigan in 2018-19

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team has announced the signing of Andrew Fenty, Steven Forman, Ryan Fu and Patrick Maloney to National Letters of Intent on Thursday (Nov. 9). The four will be joining the Wolverines for the 2018-19 academic year.
"I think this is one of the best incoming classes that we've had at Michigan," said head coach Adam Steinberg. "All four of the signees will be impact players for us and we're really excited about having them join the program. We believe they will fit in perfectly. The players and coaches are really excited for them to get started in Ann Arbor next fall."
Andrew Fenty (Washington, D.C.)
Ranked 11th nationally, according to Tennis Recruiting Network, and listed as a five-star blue-chip recruit ... Currently ranked first in District of Columbia and third in the Middle Atlantic region ... Holds a current ITF ranking of 32 ... According to ITF, holds a career singles record of 24-15, while going 3-1 against blue-chip recruits and 4-0 against five-star recruits.
Steven Forman (Troy, Mich.)
Ranked 34th nationally, according to Tennis Recruiting Network, and listed as a five-star recruit ... Currently ranked second in Michigan and third in the Great Lakes region. ... Captured the 2016 No. 1 Singles Michigan state title at Troy High School ... Named 2016 MLive Detroit Boys Tennis Player of the Year.
Ryan Fu (Andover, Mass.)
Ranked 51st nationally, according to Tennis Recruiting Network, and listed as a five-star recruit ... Currently ranked second in Massachusetts and second in the New England region ... Holds a current USTA ranking of 50 ... According to ITF, holds a career singles record of 22-16.
Patrick Maloney (Oyster Bay, N.Y.)
Ranked 21st nationally, according to Tennis Recruiting Network, and listed as a five-star blue-chip recruit ... Currently ranked fourth in New York and sixth in the Middle Atlantic region ... Holds a current USTA ranking of 33 ... According to ITF, holds a career singles record of 43-12, while going 5-4 against blue-chip recruits and 15-5 against five-star recruits.
