Emma McLean (March 17)
Big Ten Sportsmanship Award -- Sophomore Emma McLean was named Michigan's recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award on Friday (March 17) at the Big Ten Championships banquet in Piscataway, New Jersey. McLean has exemplified sportsmanship throughout the year while having a tremendous season in competition. The first team All-Big selection has won seven events, demonstrating a manner of class to represent the University of Michigan in the highest regard.
Paige Zaziski (March 13)
Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Junior Paige Zaziski claimed her second Event Specialist of the Week honor after winning bars for the fourth time this season at the Big Five Meet in Iowa City, Iowa. Her 9.950 gave her six bars scores of 9.925 or better this season. She leads the Big Ten and ranks tied for ninth nationally on the event. She also scored a 9.800 on vault and 9.850 on beam. » Big Ten Release
Lexi Funk (March 13)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Lexi Funk secured her second Freshman of the Week honor after matching her season high in the all-around. She led the team and took third in the all-around with a 39.275 at the Big Five Meet. She scored a 9.850 on bars, beam and floor to go with a 9.725 on vault. » Big Ten Release
Olivia Karas (March 6)
Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Olivia Karas earned her first weekly honor of the 2017 season and her fourth career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week accolade. She scored a 39.600 to win the all-around for the second straight week. She matched her career high on floor with a 9.950 and posted a 9.925 on bars. Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Emma McLean made it three straight weeks as the Event Specialist of the Week. All three weeks she has scored a 9.900 or better on both vault and floor. Nicole Artz (Feb. 28)
AAI Award Nominee -- American Athletic, Inc. announced Nicole Artz as one of 13 nominees for the prestigious AAI Award, giving annually to the most outstanding senior female gymnast in the country. Artz is looking to become the third U-M gymnast to win the award as Beth Wymer (1995) and Kylee Botterman (2011) previously took home the honor. Emma McLean (Feb. 27)
Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Sophomore Emma McLean picked up Event Specialist of the Week for the second straight week after leading Michigan to a season-high 197.825 and the second best team score in school history. McLean won vault with a 9.950, following up her 9.975 from the previous meet. She later matched a career best with a 9.925 on floor exercise as all six U-M gymnasts scored 9.900 or better to match the fifth highest floor score in team history, a 49.600. » Big Ten Release

Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Sophomore Emma McLean earned her first career weekly honor after winning both vault and floor vs. N.C. State on Friday (Feb. 17). She competed a Yurchenko 1 1/2 for the first time and stuck her landing for a career-high score of 9.975. On floor, she scored a 9.900 or better for the fourth time in the last five meets. Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Freshman Lexi Funk was named Freshman of the Week for the first time in her career. She scored a 9.825 or better on all three of her events. Nicole Artz (Feb. 13)
Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Nicole Artz was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for the third time this season and 11th time in her career. She collected her fourth weekly honor of 2017. In a win at Michigan State, Artz won three of the four events and the all-around, while finishing second on beam. She had season highs on vault (9.875) and beam (9.875). She went 9.900 or better on both bars and floor (9.925). Paige Zaziski (Feb. 6)
Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Junior Paige Zaziski was tabbed Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week for the first time in her Michigan career after scoring 9.875 on three different events at Maryland on Sunday (Feb. 5). Zaziski placed top-three finishes in all three events to help U-M overcome a tough start and post a season-high road score of 196.625 in the win. » Big Ten Release
Nicole Artz (Jan. 30)
Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Nicole Artz was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for a school-record 10th time. The previous record was nine by Elise Ray and Lindsey Bruck. Artz won the all-around for the second straight week with a 39.500 score against Nebraska. She tied for the win on both bars (9.925) and floor (9.900) to give her 44 career event titles. Nicole Artz (Jan. 23)
Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Nicole Artz recorded the 19th perfect 10.0 score on floor in program history versus. No. 19 Illinois. She is the first U-M gymnast since Joanna Sampson in 2014 to record a perfect 10.0 on any event and the ninth gymnast to do so on floor all time. Lauren Marinez (Jan. 23)
Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Junior Lauren Marinez won beam with a 9.875 and recorded her first career 9.900 on bars in a win over No. 19 Illinois. Marinez earned her fifth career beam title and second of the season. » Big Ten Release
Nicole Artz (Jan. 16)
Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week -- Senior Nicole Artz won her 41st career event title when she closed out Michigan's floor rotation with a 9.950 in quad-meet action against No. 20 Ohio State, Washington and Kent State. The score tied her for the top mark in the nation through two weeks of competition. She ranks tied for seventh nationally on floor.
