TOLEDO, Ohio -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team made sure that the close of the 2016 regular season was a good one, claiming four event titles at the Toledo Invitational on Friday (May 6). U-M competed in 10 events at the Rockets' Fetterman Stadium and University of Toledo Outdoor Track, winning the 100 and 400-meter hurdles, the 400-meter dash and the long jump.
Head coach James Henry and his staff used this meet as a momentum builder for a few of their athletes heading into the Big Ten Outdoor Championships next weekend.
"Overall, we just wanted to give a few more people a chance to perform this week," said Henry. "The week before Big Tens can be a great time to get a good race in and get their confidence up. I think we accomplished what we were after."
