COLUMBUS, Ohio -- University of Michigan freshman diver Kristen Hayden finished 10th (678.00) in the finals of the women's three-meter springboard competition at the 2016 U.S. Winter National Championships, held Wednesday (Dec. 21) at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

Two others with ties to the program were also in the final. Former volunteer assistant Gabby Han finished one spot ahead of Hayden in ninth (683.70), while signee Nikki Canale came in 11th (668.70).

Hayden will rejoin Michigan for the team's upcoming training trip to the Florida Keys following the holidays. The trip concludes with the Orange Bowl Classic on Tuesday, Jan. 3, in Key Largo, Florida.
