Michigan's third-round two-under 286 marks the fourth team round under par this season. U-M had a season-best 278 (-6) in the first round of the Wolverine Intercollegiate (Sept. 6-7), along with a 280 (-4) in the second round. U-M's third sub-par team tally was a 285 (-3) in the final round of the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate (March 6-7).
Chris O'Neill lowered his career-best 72-hole tournament best with his 295 by two strokes. It topped the 297 tally he had during the 2013 Big Ten Championships.
Reed Hrynewich also lowered his career-best 72-hole event record by two shots with his 304. He bettered the 306 he had at last year's conference championships.
Chris O'Neill's two-under 70 fired in the third round marks his seventh sub-par round of the season. Reed Hrynewich's matching two-under 70 is his sixth red number this season. Kyle Mueller leads U-M with nine sub-par rounds this season.
Chris O'Neill and Brett McIntosh played in their third Big Ten Championships, while Reed Hrynewich played in his second. Kyle Mueller and Bryce Evon competed in their first conference tournament.
