ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Fans will have their first opportunity to see the University of Michigan women's gymnastics team in action this Sunday (Dec. 6) at 2 p.m. versus Eastern Michigan at Crisler Center.
The 2016 season is the 40th season for U-M and coincides with the athletic department's 150th anniversary.
The Wolverines return three All-Americans from 2015, including juniors Nicole Artz and Talia Chiarelli and sophomore Brianna Brown. Artz earned All-America first team honors in the all-around and on balance beam. Chiarelli collected All-America first team accolades on balance beam and floor exercise. Brown received All-America second team honors in the all-around.
Artz and Chiarelli are also junior captains this year, joining senior captains Briley Casanova and Lindsay Williams.
Sunday will also mark the return of Brooke Parker, who graduated last May with a degree in general studies from Michigan. She is now a volunteer assistant coach at Eastern Michigan.
Admission for Sunday's meet is free and doors open at 12:30 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free 2016 Michigan women's gymnastics calendar. Following the meet, the Wolverines will be available to sign autographs.
Season tickets are available at MGoBlue.com/tickets and are only $25. Group tickets start as low as $3.
