The University of Michigan women's basketball team (10-5, 2-2 B1G) is back in home action on Sunday (Jan. 11), hosting Ohio State (11-5, 3-1 B1G) at Crisler Center as part of Alumni Weekend. Tip is set for 2 p.m.
• Michigan has won four of the last seven games against Ohio State, splitting the series last season with the Buckeyes.
• Michigan is 8-1 at Crisler Center this season, holding a +16.3 scoring margin over its opponents. U-M is scoring 75.4 points per game on 46.0-percent shooting from the floor and 40.0-percent shooting from three-point range. U-M's opponents are averaging 59.1 points per game on 41.5-percent shooting from the floor and 33.8-percent shooting from three-point range.
• Today's game is part of a full weekend of activities for Michigan women's basketball alumni. Approximately 40 former Wolverines are expected back this weekend. The group will play in an alumni game on Sunday morning and be recognized during halftime of Sunday's game.
• Michigan has had at least 3,000 fans in attendance at each of its last three home games, including a season-best crowd of 4,520 against Michigan State (Jan. 4). It was the first time in program history that Michigan has had three straight home crowds of 3,000-plus fans.
• Shannon Smith has 187 assists in her two-year Michigan career, quickly climbing up the career list at U-M. With 13 more assists, she will become just the 23rd player in school history with at least 200 career assists. Smith holds Michigan's single-game assist record with 13, which came against Stony Brook in last season's WNIT opening round (March 21, 2014).
• Since head coach Kim Barnes Arico took over prior to the 2012-13 season, Michigan is 20-7 following a loss.
• Michigan features four double-figure scorers in Cyesha Goree (14.3 ppg), Katelynn Flaherty (14.1 ppg), Shannon Smith (12.5 ppg) and Siera Thompson (11.3 ppg). Michigan is 9-3 this season when at least three players score in double figures. Michigan has had seven different players this season record a double-figure scoring game. U-M's fifth-leading scorer is Nicole Elmblad, who is averaging 7.0 points per game. U-M is 4-0 when Elmblad reaches double figures.
• Michigan has had three players cross the 500-point plateau this season in Cyesha Goree (639), Shannon Smith (628) and Siera Thompson (618). Along with Nicole Elmblad (709), Michigan has had 57 players in its history score at least 500 points.
• Michigan is 7-1 this season when it gets to the free throw line at least 15 times. U-M is first in the Big Ten in free throw percentage at 76.2.
