Michigan used the starting lineup of Cyesha Goree, Nicole Elmblad, Shannon Smith, Danielle Williams and Siera Thompson. The group is 5-2 as a starting unit.
Michigan scored 100 points for the 10th time in program history and the first since scoring 103 points against Central Michigan on Dec. 3, 1998.
Shannon Smith scored a career-best 36 points. It is the second 30-point game of her career. The first was when she scored 32 points at Detroit on Nov. 16, 2013.
Katelynn Flaherty scored a career-best 24 points, recording her fourth 20-point game of the season.
Cyesha Goree had a double-double at the half (14 points, 10 rebounds) and finished with 18 points and tied a career high with 19 rebounds. It is her 10th double-double of the season.
Nicole Elmblad had nine rebounds to push her career total to 588. She is now in 13th place all-time at Michigan.
Madison Ristovski tied a season-best five assists in today's contest.
It is the first time since the 2000-01 season that Michigan has recorded wins over Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State in the same season.
U-M is 9-1 at home.
Michigan had a crowd of 3,351, its fourth straight game with at least 3,000 fans. That is the longest streak in program history.
It is Michigan's first overtime contest of the season.
Ohio State leads the all-time series, 50-11.
Danielle Williams played a career-high 30 minutes.
It was Michigan's Alumni Weekend. The group played an alumni game prior to today's contest against Ohio State and had lunch in the Junge Family Champions Center.
Michigan held the nation's leading scorer, Kelsey Mitchell, to 13 points. She was averaging 25.7 points per game entering the contest. It was a season low for Mitchell.
U-M outrebounded Ohio State, 45-31. Michigan is now 8-2 when outrebounding its opponent.
Michigan tied a season high with 24 assists, its fourth game with at least 20 assists this season.
U-M got to the free throw line 30 times in today's game, the most since matching that total on Feb. 16, 2014, at Illinois.
