The Wolverines hit .344 for the match, the highest for a match by the Maize and Blue since it hit .347 in a 3-0 win vs. Iowa on Oct. 12, 2013.
Michigan had 10 blocks, marking the third consecutive match with double-digits in blocks, retroactive to last season.
Michigan and Stephen F. Austin played for the first time in school history in tonight's match.
Sophomore Abby Cole set a career high with 19 kills. Cole's previous high was 16 on two occasions, most recently at Northwestern on Nov. 10, 2013.
Freshman Katherine Mahlke, Caroline Knop and Adeja Lambert each saw their first action in a Wolverine uniform. Mahlke and Knop started the match for U-M.
Freshman Katherine Mahlke had a double-double (12 kills, 13 digs) in her first match as a Wolverine. The last Michigan player to accomplish that feat was Lexi Zimmerman, who had 64 assists and 13 digs in a five-set win at Hawai'i on Aug. 24, 2007.
Junior Carly Warner had 52 assists on the night, a career high for the junior. She also tallied career highs in digs (8), service aces (3) and kills (2).
