Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On Michigan's offensive effort ... "It's not much to brag about with one goal. We've only scored four goals in the last three games. It was a good goal for (Andrew Copp), and it was good for our team, but it was not enough. I thought tonight we played better from the get go. We had good chances, but we didn't capitalize on our best chances. We gave up goals to easily. Goals are precious this weekend, and we couldn't get another one."
On the play of the team's penalty kill ... "I think it's something we need to keep working on every weekend. They scored a power-play goal tonight, and we did a pretty good job. But we'll go back to a normal-sized rink now, and that changes everything."
On if he's looking forward to playing Minnesota again later this season ... "You have to play teams like this. I told our team -- that's a measuring stick. That's what we're up against, and they're as good as anyone we've seen all year."
U-M Junior Defenseman Andrew Sinelli
On what the team can take away from tonight's loss ... "We've got to take the positives and bring it into next weekend. It's only going to get harder from here. I didn't think we were that bad tonight, but we just didn't get the bounces."
On if penalties disrupted Michigan's rhythm ... "It's definitely tough. You never want to take penalties, and we had five or six tonight. It kind of ruins the flow of the game a little bit and ruins our flow."
U-M Sophomore Forward Boo Nieves
On if getting down by two goals affected the team's confidence ... "You can't let it affect you. It didn't affect us. A team like ours, we can come back from anything. A two-goal lead is a dangerous lead, especially against a team like us. Our mentality didn't change. We just kept going and just didn't get the bounces."
On what the team learned by playing Minnesota this weekend ... "Like Red said, we kind of grew up a little bit. It's definitely a little bit of a wake-up call to know that the team that's leading our league is going to beat us twice in their building, so we need to take it to them when they come to our building."
