Michigan Head Coach Marcia Pankratz
On the win ... "It was a big game to bounce back. We didn't play great on Friday (vs. Michigan State). UNH has a great team, and it's Senior Day. So, there were a number of potential distractions. But I thought the seniors played great today. They're a great, talented group. They played as a team, and I thought Ainsley (McCallister) and Leslie (Smith), in particular, carried our team today. I was very proud of them."
On overcoming a slow start ... "I think that Michigan State game was a hard one for them. So, we really needed to get back out and get back into our game plan and type of play. That was a big focus, and I thought we eventually did a good job with that today."
U-M Fifth-Year Senior Ainsley McCallister
On the win ... "It's a big win. At this time of year, we need to just keep winning. Once we picked up the ball speed and got some of the jitters or distractions out, I thought we played a good game. We pulled out it, so we'll take it."
On scoring two goals ... "That was a lot of fun. I've been working a lot on finishing, so it was really nice to see it finally pay off."
On Senior Day ... "I had tons of good friends and family friends come out. My housemates made signs. So it was really special to have them all here cheering me on for my last regular-season home game. To perform well was icing on the cake."
U-M Senior Emy Guttman
On winning on Senior Day ... "It means a lot. We had a rough start to the weekend, so we needed to come out strong, believe in each other and get a good outcome. There can always be some distractions on Senior Day, but we just had to put that away. I think we were able to go that."
On what U-M will focus on this week ... "We need to keep working on keeping our passes simple, working with each other and finishing our opportunities."
