
Rossi Wins Singles Draw at ITA Summer Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Redshirt junior Justin Rossi (Novi, Mich./Laurel Springs Prep) of the University of Michigan men's tennis team won six matches over a three-day span en route to earning the men's singles draw championship at the ITA Summer Circuit Event (July 6-8) at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind.
Rossi was the draw's ninth seed and defeated top-seeded Aaron Pfister of Michigan State in the final, 6-3, 7-5. Rossi did not drop a set throughout the three-day tournament on his way to earning the individual title.
After starting the dual-match season 0-5 in singles competition, Rossi finished last season with a perfect 4-0 record in Big Ten action.
