This is the first year ever both the women's and men's U-M cross country squads have both placed first at the regional.
U-M finished ahead of host Wisconsin, No. 6 Michigan State and No. 9 Butler.
Michigan has finished with fewer than 50 points in all three of its consecutive regional titles -- 45 in 2011, 41 in 2012 and 48 in 2013.
Erin Finn (2nd), Shannon Osika (6th), Brook Handler (7th), Taylor Manett (11th) and Megan Weschler (22nd) earned a spot on the All-Great Lakes Region team. It marks the second straight year Osika and Handler earned the honor.
It marked the NCAA Great Lakes Regional debut for Megan Weschler, Anna Pasternak, Alex Leptich and Erin Finn.
The win marks Michigan's 10th NCAA Great Lakes Region title in program history (1982, 1993, '94, '95, 2004, '05, '08, '11, '12, '13).
Michigan has never finished lower than fourth place at the Great Lakes Regional (with the exception of its seventh-place finish in 2001) during Mike McGuire's tenure, earning first or second place in 17 of the 22 seasons.
