• Michigan moves to 121-91-4 in the all-time series against Michigan Tech. U-M fell 4-0 the last time the two teams met at Joe Louis Arena (Detroit, Mich.). The Wolverines hold a 69-28-2 at Yost and are 21-3-0 under head coach Red Berenson against the Huskies.
• Freshman goalie Zach Nagelvoort tied career highs with 36 shots faced and 34 saves. He earned his third win in four career starts.
• Michigan finished the night 0-for-4 on the power play. U-M is now 7-for-27 (25.9%) with a man-advantage through seven games this season.
• Michigan finished the night 4-for-5 on the penalty kill and is now 24-for-29 (82.8%) for the season on the PK.
• Senior forward Luke Moffatt tied freshman Tyler Motte for the team lead in goals (4).
• Sophomore forward Andrew Copp drew even with junior Phil Di Giuseppe for the team lead in points (7) with his game-winner.
• Tonight marked only the second time in seven games that no freshman scored a goal for U-M. Freshmen have registered a point in every game this season, as Michael Downing recorded an assist on Phil Di Giuseppe's first-period goal.
• Freshman forward Tyler Motte paced Michigan with five shots on target.
• The Wolverines outshot their opponent for the fifth time in seven tries, outshooting Michigan Tech by a 43-36 tally.
• The last home loss for Michigan came on Jan. 12, 2013, against Alaska. U-M is now 8-1-1 in its last 10 home games dating back to last season and 3-1-0 in two home contests this season.
