After this weekend's series, Michigan is now 7-13-2 overall and 4-10-2-2 in the CCHA.
Freshman defenseman Jacob Trouba scored his seventh goal of the season with a power-play goal in the second period. After his two-point night in the first game of this series, Trouba has three points (1G, 2A) in the last two contests. He leads the team with five power-play goals.
Junior defenseman Jon Merrill tallied his second assist in as many games with an assist on Trouba's second-period goal. The two assists are Merrill's only points this season in three games played.
Sophomore Alex Guptill picked up his ninth assist of the season on Trouba's goal. That makes points in back-to-back games for Guptill (1 g, 2 a).
Michigan went 1-for-8 on the power play, where their season total is now 12-for-93 (12.9 percent). The Wolverines also went 3-for-5 on the penalty kill; their season totals are now 71-for-87 (81.6).
Junior Adam Janecyk started in net for the Wolverines, making 27 saves on 31 shots. Janecyk is now 2-4-0 on the season in six appearances.
Attendance at Yost was 5,800, giving Michigan back-to-back sellouts.
