The meet was held inside Cliff Keen Arena due to renovations at Crisler Center. The Wolverines previously competed inside Cliff Keen from 1990-2003.
With the victory over Michigan State, U-M head coach Bev Plocki now has 580 career victories.
The Wolverines improve to 55-32 all-time against Michigan State and have won the last 13 meetings against their in-state rival.
It was Michigan's first dual-meet win since Feb. 3 against West Virginia. The Wolverines had three second-place finishes and took two dual-meet losses since then.
Michigan scored better than 49.000 on vault for the first time since Feb. 24 against Oklahoma/TWU (49.400). U-M has scored better than 49.000 on vault in eight of 10 meets this season.
Prior to Friday's meet, the Wolverines' highest team score on beam was 49.050, achieved on March 2 against Penn State/UNC.
Katie Zurales won the all-around for the second time in as many meets and now has three all-around wins this season (two outright). It was Joanna Sampson's fourth all-around victory this season.
Freshman Annette Miele set a new career high in the all-around (39.075). Her previous career high was 39.025, set March 2 against Penn State/UNC.
Tonight's meet was a sellout at Cliff Keen Arena (1,850). It was also televised live on the Big Ten Network.
