• Michigan allowed three goals in the second period tonight, marking the sixth time this season that the Wolverines have surrendered at least three goals in a single period.

• The Wolverines allowed two power-play goals for the third time this season.

• Luke Moffatt led the Wolverines with five shots on goal.

• Kevin Clare, Jacob Trouba and Brennan Serville paced Michigan with two blocked shots.

• Goaltender Jared Rutledge made his fifth start of the season, turning aside 22 shots in the loss.

• Tonight marked the first time since Feb. 5, 2011, (66 games) that the Wolverines have been shutout
