Postgame Notes: Michigan 65, Penn State 62

• With the win, Michigan improves to 14-10 (4-7 Big Ten) for the season. This was U-M's third win in its last four games. The Wolverines are now 2-4 away from Ann Arbor in conference play, winning two of their last three road games.
• Michigan improves to 25-11 (19-8*) all-time against Penn State. U-M has won four of its last five against the Nittany Lions. The Wolverines are now 10-7 against the PSU in State College.
• Sunday's game marked the second matchup this season between Michigan and Penn State. The Wolverines have now taken both meetings after defeating the Nittany Lions, 76-69, in Ann Arbor (Jan. 2).
• Darius Morris led the Wolverines with 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting. It is Morris' sixth 20-plus scoring effort of the season. U-M is 4-2 when Morris scores at least 20 points. Morris added four rebounds and tied a team high with three assists in the win.
• Stu Douglass came off the bench and scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. This was his highest scoring output since scoring 17 at Northwestern (Jan. 18). Douglass added four rebounds and tied a team high with three assists.
• Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc. All of Hardaway's scoring came in the second half. Hardaway added two rebounds, two assists and a steal.
• Jordan Morgan tied a career high with 11 rebounds, a feat he last accomplished against Oakland (Dec. 15). This was Morgan's second career double-digit rebounding effort. Morgan added six points and a block in the win over Penn State.
• The Wolverines shot 25-of-51 (49 percent) from the field, including 9-of-19 (47 percent) from behind the arc.
• Michigan lost the rebounding battle, 31-27. The Wolverines are 5-9 this season when they are outrebounded by their opponent.
• U-M dished out 10 assists leading to 25 made field goals. This is the fewest assists the Wolverines have recorded in a win this season.
• The Wolverines turned over the ball five times, which is their lowest single-game total in conference play this season. U-M's defense forced Penn State into eight turnovers. Michigan is 6-5 when it has fewer turnovers than its opponent.
• Michigan outscored Penn State in bench points (20-2), points in the paint (32-14), points off turnovers (11-8), and fast-break points (9-7). The Nittany Lions outscored the Wolverines in second-chance points (10-8).
• The game featured two ties and two lead changes. Michigan never trailed after taking a 55-53 lead on a Darius Morris jumper, leading by as many as five.
• Michigan wore its blue jerseys for the sixth time this season. The Wolverines are now 2-4 this season when they wear blue.
• For the 10th straight game, Michigan went with the starting lineup of Darius Morris, Zack Novak, Tim Hardaway Jr., Evan Smotrycz, and Jordan Morgan. The Wolverines have used this lineup in all but one game this season.
